Code of Conduct


The purpose of this code is to provide guidelines and expectations of the coaches, players, and spectators.


COACHES

  • Coaches set the example by which players and parents must follow.
  • Coaches are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.
  • Coaches will teach players the rules of the sport and encourage players to follow these rules.
  • Coaches should treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect.
  • Coaches are responsible for the behavior of their own players and any spectators associated with their team.
  • Coaches are empowered to request spectators to leave the field if they do not follow this code of conduct.

PLAYERS

  • Players are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.
  • Players will treat the referee(s) in a respectful manner before, during and after a match.
  • Referees will be addressed as Sir or Ma’am. Players may ask the referee to clarify a call, but will not argue or express vigorous dissent, either verbally or by action.
  • Treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect.
  • Control their emotions and speech.
  • Attend all practices and games unless excused by the coach.
  • Wear their team uniform in the prescribed manner.
  • Play to win, but when losing, to lose with dignity.
  • Follow the rules of the game at all times.

PARENTS & FANS

Spectators should do the following:

  • Exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.
  • Provide encouragement to players, referees and coaches of both teams.
  • Follow requests from the referee or the team’s coach.

SPECTATORS SHOULD NOT:

  • Harass players, coaches, referees or other spectators.
  • Stand on the team’s side of the field.
  • Stand behind the goal.
  • Enter the field of play during a game.
  • Use abusive language at any time.
