How to Register: In conjunction with League Sports Services, a leader in on-line registration, Colonie Soccer is pleased to announce on-line registration for the Competitive Divisions. We are sure you will find the process very efficient and easy to use. We will also have two in-house registration sessions for those who prefer to sign up in person. For more information regarding the on-line registration process, follow this

There are different age level teams that play on a competitive level. Teams are organized by age groups, such as "Under 10 Year Old Co-ed", “Under 10 Year Old Boys” or “Under 12 Year Old Girls.” The youngest players begin with the “U8’s Co-Ed” team.
If you're not sure what age group the player belongs in, please check the CDYSL
age matrix for the 2009-10 season at
http://www.cdysl.org/agematrix.asp.
Coaches of competitive teams are licensed coaches, or have many years experience as a soccer player and coach. All the club’s coaches are volunteers and are not paid. A coach may have a team parent assist with coaching and/or as team manager.
Teams compete against teams from other area towns. A coach will decide if a team will enter any tournaments. A few teams will opt to travel longer distances for a special competitive tournament, but most teams stay within the local Capital District area.
There are various levels of competitive play. Each coach will determine the appropriate level of competition for a team based on the overall skill level of a team at the beginning of a session. While the club strives to group youth by skill level, there may be a wide range of ability on a team.
A player must purchase a team uniform. A uniform includes shorts, shirt, and socks. At times the club will offer a more inclusive kit which may also include a warm up suit, and soccer bag.
A player is assigned a player number by the club to prevent overlap of numbers on a team or within an age group. A player may keep his/her number over the years unless there is a conflict, in which case the older player will keep the number.
A players’ family is responsible for all fees involved, and they will be collected in the following manner: half at registration and half when your child is placed upon a team. Fees include cost of insurance, CDYSL registration, practice time at Afrim’s Sports Center, and referee fees.
